Stafford Beer: Fanfare for Effective Freedom
On September 11, 1973 a military coup in Chile ended an interesting experiment devised by Stafford Beer. The experiment was called Project Cybersyn which aimed to reduce bureocracy and create a scientific way of governing through decisions based on the principles of cybernetics and reason. The system had a central computer for coordinating the gathering of data and analysing them. Read the paper.
